| Rafael Tirado joined
Via Wines as Chief Winemaker in 2007. He received
his degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialization
in fruticulture and enology from the Universidad
Católica de Chile with maximum distinction
in 1993. |

| Rafael’s winemaking
career began at the boutique winery Viña
Terranoble where he worked with French winemaker
and consultant Henry Marionnet. |

| Rafael has worked in
southern France with George Delille as in La Rioja,
Spain. |
 |
| In 1997 Rafael became
Chief Winemaker of Viña Veramonte, a producer
of fine wines, where he worked with Agustin Hunneus
and with consultant Jacque Boissenot, one of France’s
most prestigious winemakers in developing the Casablanca
Valley as one of Chile’s premier viticultural
regions. |

| Throughout his career
Rafael has participated in vintages in the Napa
Valley at fine wine producers such as Franciscan
Estates, Simi, and Quintessa wineries, where he
gained experience vinifying assorted red and white
varieties, as well as in the Monterey area where
he introduced Pinot Noir at the Estancia Winery. |

wines was named Number 1 of 100 wines by Wine.com
customers, the most important on-line wine retailer
in the United States. |
